Story

I have signed up to cycle 300km over hilly Coromandel Roads from March 7-10, 2019.  Considering my weekly Sunday morning ride is about 15km this is a very big undertaking.  My friends all know I enjoy tramping, but this hard bike ride really is extending me far beyond my comfort zone.  I hope to be physically (& mentally) prepared by March.  I also hope to own a ride bike by then!

The event is organised by 25000spins, a non-profit program started 10 years ago by Craig Shipton.  Craig, a keen cyclist, wanted to make a difference to people in desperate need.  $1.7million dollars later, thanks to Craig's persistent dedication, a powerful difference is indeed being for many people existing in poverty.

ADRA is my chosen charity.  I've supported them for many years and am interested in following the development work they do.  The provide emergency assistance in times of crises.  More than that they  they train people to become self sufficient through long term projects. My parents and brother have visited several ADRA projects.  Mum taught women in Cambodia to sew and now these women sell clothes at the local markets.  Dad and my brother worked along side others to help build facilities. I've not been able to participate on these trips, however, I am keen to continue supporting the work of ADRA.  Your help will make a difference.

All sponsorship amounts gratefully received!

Thank you very much.
